St. Peter's School offers many student support services.

Food
Hot lunch is provided everyday or students may opt to bring lunches. St. Peter's participates in Federal Milk Program.

Health
Screening for vision, hearing and scoliosis is offered to students. Health instruction for nutrition and welfare are incorporated in the physical education program. The majority of faculty and staff are certified in Red Cross First Aid and CPR.

Guidance
A certified Guidance Counselor works full-time at the school. The counselor teaches each class about such things as life skills and problem-solving techniques during a class session. In addition, the counselor is available for teacher and student referrals as well as parent conferences.

Library
Every class has a weekly library class where such topics as geography, card catalogues and different categories of literature are taught. Students may check out books on a weekly basis. Students in grade eight learn how to do a research paper. Numerous audio-visual aides are available for teachers.

Inclusion
St. Peter's School is privileged to have a full-time inclusion specialist who assists students with academic challenges. Support is provided for teachers to effectively meet the needs of every student in the classroom. Classroom aides assist in the delivery of instructional services.

Students who need diagnostic, psychological or speech evaluation may be referred to the public school system to establish an Individual Education Plan (IEP). Title I services are provided for eligible students. Conferences are conducted involving parents, teachers and administrators to develop an individualized curriculum plan (504) to meet special needs of students.

Transportation
Bus transportation is provided and funded by Charles County Public Schools to students who reside in the appropriate zones. Parents are responsible for transporting those students who live outside the school zone. Carpool lists are available.

Before and After School Program
The before and after school program is licensed by the Maryland State Child Care Administration. This service is available to St. Peter's students in grades K through 8. The Program is open every day that school is in session and operates from 6:30AM until school begins in the morning, and from 3:40PM until 6:30PM in the evening. Rates vary according to the number of siblings attending and pick-up times.
