St.
Peters School is a Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese
of Washington D.C. It serves the educational needs of children of
various abilities from the parishes of Our Lady Help of Christians
and St. Peters. We accept children from other parishes and
the community on a space available basis. The school includes students
in grades kindergarten through eight. Before and after care is available
for our students. Since 1993, St. Peters has offered programs
for students with learning disabilities. In May 1996, St. Peters
was chosen to be a demonstration school for the Archdiocese inclusion
program.
The school implements all policies
and procedures of the Archdiocese of Washington. St. Peters
has a School Advisory Board, which reviews school policy and procedures
and makes recommendations for any revisions or re-evaluations. Final
authority for decisions regarding school operation and procedures
rests with the pastor and principal.
