I
would just like to reinforce some of the information from
the superintendent. The children will be supervised and as
safe as is humanly possible. In case of a lock down no
one will be allowed in or out of the building.
- Please
fill out the attached
form and return to school ASAP. It is crucial
for us to have the correct updated information immediately.
- We
are stocking some non-perishable food and water in the building.
- We
have several walkie-talkies in the building as well as battery
operated radios.
- Field
trips are being limited. We will make a decision on the
8th grade vocations Mass as the time nears.
- If
you would like to send in an emergency pack for your child
you may do so. Please include:
- change
of clothes
- bottle
of water
- small
blanket
- small
flashlight with batteries
- non-perishable
snack
Please
put these items in a small bag labeled with your child's
name (no suitcases or backpacks)
- If
your child takes medication at home, you may send a dose
or two in a marked container with name and dosage to be
kept in the office.
- If
we go to a lock down situtation prior to dismissal for the
day and it continues, the children will not go home on the
bus.
- If
we go to an emergency closing without a lock down, the buses
will transport children home if you indicate that on the
form.
- We
will make every effort to put information on the web site.
However, electricity and phone lines may not be availalle.
- Please
do not call the school. We will need to keep the phone lines
open if they are operative.
- Let
me re-assure you that the safety and well-being of our children
is our top priority. We will do everything in our power
to provide for their welfare.
Mrs.
J. DeLucco
