Peter's School Certificate Program 2002/2003 School Year
Weekend
Sales Team
The certificate program at St. Peter's
School provides an opportunity to reduce the overall school budget
through the sale of gift certificates sold to the school at a discounted
rate. This program is maintained through parent volunteers.
You will be scheduled to work
six (6) weekends throughout the year resulting in 30 hours of credit
toward your volunteer requirement.
Below is a more detailed explanation
of the time requirements and duties involved in selling certificates.
I. TIME REQUIREMENTS
- Sell certificates at TWO
Masses on your team's assigned weekend. Certificates are sold
before and after the 5:00 Mass on Saturday, and the 8:00, 10:00,
and 12:00 Masses on Sunday. Schedule will be produced in April
for the coming school year.
- Arrive at least one half
hour prior to the start of the Mass. Your fellow team members
from the previous Mass cannot leave until you arrive. Please be
considerate. On Saturday, arrive by 4:00 to allow enough time
to perform set-up procedures.
- Stay after sales of your last
Mass to count certificates and balance the paperwork. Paperwork
must balance. Most teams are complted with sales duties by 1:30
p.m. on the Sunday afternoon.
- You are responsible to get
a substitute from another certificate team if you can't serve
your assigned weekend. Notify your team captain of the substitute
so your captain can contact them to verify their assignment.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OF TEAM CAPTAINS/CO-CAPTAINS
- Call team members one week prior
to scheduled week.
- Determine who works which Masses
- Make arrangements to pick up key
from certificate accounting team.
- Complete volunteer hour receipt
crediting team members with appropriate hours worked.
- Team captains participate in certificate
sales along with team members.
III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
OF TEAM MEMBERS
- Count in the existing and replenishment
inventories to ensure an accurate count at beginning of sales.
- Record sales, tally sales for
each Mass, and balance sheets with actual certificate counts.
Ensure that the monies collected match certificate sales indicated
on balance sheets.
- Resolve discrepancies that may
arise during certificate sales.

ten (10) weekdays throughout the year resulting in 30 hours of credit
toward your volunteer requirement.
Below is a more detailed explanation
of the time requirements and duties involved in selling certificates.
I. TIME REQUIREMENTS
- Sell certificates on a weekday
morning (Tuesday or Friday) as determined by the published schedule.
The schedule will be produced in April for the coming school year.
- The time frame for setting up,
selling certificates, and closing out will be from 8:45 a.m. to
11:45 a.m. Report to the rectory to begin certificate sales.
- You are responsible to get
a substitute from another certificate team if you can't serve
your assigned weekday.
II.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES OF TEAM MEMBERS
- Count in the existing and replenishment
inventories to ensure an accurate count at beginning of sales.
- Record sales, tally sales for
each Mass, and balance sheets with actual certificate counts.
Ensure that the monies collected match certificate sales indicated
on balance sheets.
- Resolve discrepancies that may
arise during certificate sales.
- Weekday sales consist of walk
up sales as well as envelope sales submitted via students.
